Our Story
Kennyhertz Perry is a business and litigation law firm serving clients across a wide range of industries.
The firm was founded in 2013 by veteran Kansas City attorneys John Kennyhertz and Braden Perry. After years of working at large law firms and in-house roles, they set out to build something different — a firm that combines high-level legal expertise with a real-world understanding of what it takes to run a business.
Since then, Kennyhertz Perry has grown steadily, attracting a team of experienced attorneys who share that same vision. Today, the firm is known for providing practical, business-minded legal advice that helps clients solve problems, manage risk, and move forward with confidence.

John Kennyhertz
A Kansas City native, John has served as Managing Partner since the firm began adding attorneys in 2018. Before founding Kennyhertz Perry, he served as General Counsel for a Kansas City-based private equity firm, overseeing its non-real estate legal matters and the risk management and compliance of its portfolio companies.

Braden Perry
Braden co-founded the firm in 2013. Before private practice, he served as a Senior Trial Attorney with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission — experience at the root of the firm’s government enforcement and regulatory practice.
