Overview

Braden Perry is a nationally recognized white-collar defense attorney and litigator. Clients come to him when the government is already asking questions. As a former Senior Trial Attorney with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Braden led investigations and prosecutions involving market manipulation, fraud, and regulatory violations. He knows how enforcement attorneys build a case, what they prioritize, and where their cases are weak. He uses that experience to defend clients facing federal and state investigations, enforcement actions, and criminal charges.

As Co-Founder and Partner at Kennyhertz Perry, Braden represents individuals and companies in internal investigations, regulatory inquiries, and high-stakes litigation. His matters involve securities fraud, commodities and derivatives enforcement, anti-money laundering, and digital asset enforcement. He has tried cases in federal and state courts and has handled proceedings before the SEC, CFTC, CFPB, FINRA, and NFA.

Braden also serves as an expert witness on financial industry standards of care, regulatory compliance, and broker-dealer and advisor practices. He has been retained in more than 15 matters in federal and state courts and in FINRA arbitrations. He is a FINRA and NFA arbitrator.

Before founding Kennyhertz Perry, Braden was Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President at Mariner Holdings, a national wealth management firm, where he oversaw broker-dealer, RIA, and alternative investment compliance. That background matters. He has built and run compliance programs, not just litigated over them.

Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America have recognized Braden for white-collar defense. He is a frequent speaker and media commentator on enforcement trends, compliance risk, and litigation strategy, with features in Reuters, Forbes, Law360, Institutional Investor, and MarketWatch.
